END OF SCHOOL CELEBRATION

Today, June 4, 2010 marks the last day of the "Daly Academy" school year. Nathan completed 2nd grade and Levi Kindergarten! SO, thanks to the idea of my friend, Lynn, I planned a party to celebrate the occasion. It was great fun!! I must say that I am so thankful to have the privilege to home-school my children. It isn't always easy and I don't claim to have it all together, but I love having them with me and I love teaching them new things. I so enjoy teaching new concepts and seeing them grasp them and understand!!! So rewarding!!!I love telling Mark all that we learned that day and all that we, in the strength of the Lord, accomplished that day. I am learning more everyday about how to do this from several great moms who home-school their kids also and I am loving the journey so very much. I am so thankful to be Mommy and teacher to my children!!!!!! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!!! May the Lord strengthen me and help me to be a more God-honoring mommy and teacher as the years go by!!!!!!

What a great crew! We had my friend, Amy, and her 3 kids over. There is Maryann, Levi, Norah, Nathan, Claire (who shares the EXACT same birthday as Nathan) and Tyler.

Pinata time!!!!

This shows the pennant banners that I sewed for the occasion. My friend, Angela gave me the idea. I love the way they look and how they bring a festive feel to the house.

Ok, well one day I will learn to upload my pictures backwards that way the right ones will be first...Here is the world's ugliest pinata, I made it and it cost me nothing but a little bit of flour. I everything else already, I even took some grocery fliers from the store so I didn't even need a newspaper to make it with. Pretty cool, I was so thrilled that it worked well. The kids (and the adults) had a good time.
